How Ahodzil collects, uses, and protects your personal data.

This Privacy Policy explains how Ahodzil handles your personal data when you visit this website or contact us. We are based in Norway, so we follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Norwegian Personal Data Act.

Who we are

Ahodzil is the data controller for the personal data described here.

What data we collect

Information you give us. When you use the contact or waitlist form, or email us directly, we receive the details you choose to send. That is normally your name, your email address, your company (optional), and the content of your message.

Technical data. Our hosting provider processes a limited amount of technical data, such as your IP address and browser type, so that the site loads quickly and stays secure. We do not use this data to identify you and we do not combine it with anything else.

No cookies and no tracking. This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies of any kind. Because of that, no cookie consent banner is shown, and none is required.

We only use your data for clear purposes, each with a legal basis under GDPR Article 6.

  • To answer your enquiry. When you contact us, we use your details to reply and to take steps you have asked for before any agreement. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to you.
  • To manage the waitlist. If you join the waitlist, we use your email to tell you when we launch. Legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
  • To keep the site secure. We process technical data to deliver and protect the site. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, reliable website.

How the contact form works

The contact form opens your own email program and sends your message to contact@ahodzil.com. Your message is then received and stored by our email provider on our behalf. We do not run any hidden background processing of the form.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising. We use a small number of trusted providers that process data on our behalf:

  • Our website host and content delivery network, which serves the site and processes the technical data described above.
  • Our email provider, which receives and stores messages you send to contact@ahodzil.com.

International transfers

Some of our providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by the European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses or another safeguard approved under GDPR.

How long we keep your data

  • Enquiry messages: for as long as we need them to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards, then we delete them.
  • Waitlist details: until we launch or until you ask us to remove you, whichever comes first.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you,
  • ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete,
  • ask us to delete your data,
  • ask us to restrict how we use your data,
  • receive your data in a portable format,
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interest,
  • withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

We do not use automated decision making or profiling.
